Simplifying Passenger Payments on Spedsta
Hello, in this video, I’ll explain how to manage passenger payments, including credit card processing, checks, and cash. This ensures you can efficiently handle payments and maintain accurate records. Click HERE for a video walk through.
First, set up a rate profile for each passenger or community by going to Admin Tools, then Account Settings, and selecting Ride Pricing. This lets you define pickup charges, per-mile rates, and other pricing factors. For example, you might set a rate of 56 cents per mile.
When a ride is booked, the system calculates the charges based on the rate profile. You can then process payments directly from the dashboard. If a passenger has a credit card on file, you can charge it directly. If not, you can mark the payment as cash or check.
To manage payments, go to the passenger’s financial account history to view and update their ledger. You can also create deposits or refunds, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
For a detailed view, use the Passenger Ride History page to see completed rides and handle post-ride charges. You can select all completed rides and charge the total amount.
Using these features helps you streamline payment processes, ensuring you provide reliable service and maintain respect from your management and community.
